Pitbull Poker Room Closes Down

The list of free texas holdem bonuses has gotten a bit smaller recently with a number of long standing no deposit bonuses becoming unavailable.

The latest one to go was the $10 free that was available at Pitbull Poker, which was one of the longest running free bonus deals available at an online poker room, having been available since 2006.

Not only has the free bonus money gone, but so has the entire site at Pitbull Poker. It’s a long story, which began earlier this year when players on poker forums began to question the style of play of some of the Pitbull poker players, suggesting that they were ‘superusers’.

The company vehemently denied this accusation, but unfortunately did not provide the proof that would have shown this as unfounded – or otherwise – in the form of the hand histories. Though players repeatedly requested the hand histories, Pitbull failed to come through making various excuses.

This didn’t prove anything one way or the other, but it did lead to a massive drop in player confidence at the site, and players began to leave in droves.

Which of course in turn led to a problem with liquidity, which meant that players began to complain about slow cashouts. This is always a bad sign with a poker room, and it was not long before the site up and disappeared.

That left some players with their bankrolls also having disappeared, which is always lamentable. So $10 removed from the overall free bankroll pot and many thousands of dollars gone from individual Pitbull Poker players bankrolls.

If there are any further updates on this subject we will of course publish them here.
